A State - Region - Department and Community of Districts partnership for the financing of major major infrastructure work helps to optimise links to the Business Areas. Here are a few examples of that:
- cross Gron Industrial Area to the south-west of the agglomeration via the RN 60 diversion,
- RN 6 interchanges to the east of Sens, linking the Vauguillettes Industrial Area,
- Redevelopment project for the RN 6/RN 60 crossroads, to make access easier to the Carrefour shopping centre.

A diverse industrial web, consisting mainly of small and medium enterprises and industries:
The following industries are the biggest employers (apart from BTP): food-processing, metal processing, paper-cardboard-printing and plastic processing.
The inter-district partnership has at its disposal:
- 1,398,264 m² of land sold for manufacturing, commerce or craft businesses,
- 10 business areas, built on land belonging to member districts, housing 90 businesses which employ 3240 staff
A close partnership has been developed between the key players involved in the economic development of the Sens area: CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry), SYDES, Town of Sens, Yonne development and District of the Sens area agglomeration have become Community of Districts.

Through its regular meetings for partners, the business reception committee has made the following possible: project monitoring, the exchange of information, the accomplishment of joint communication by sending a brochure to companies in the Paris region and abroad, and establishing a single point for receiving construction requests.
