A historic English town attracting many tourists.
Twinning ceremonies took place in Chester in January 1994 and in Sens in May 1994.
This town of 80,000 inhabitants can trace its history back over 2000 years.
Chester's heritage is so impressive that it has quickly become a place not to be missed.
The town welcomes six million visitors annually. The Roman era, the early Middle Ages, mediaeval times

By air : From Roissy to Manchester
By road : Motorway to Calais, then the ferry from Calais to Dover. Motorway (towards Manchester and Liverpool) which takes you direct to Chester (450 km)
